Pennsylvania is the birthplace of the Fraternal Order of Police, which was formed in Pittsburgh in 1915. The Pennsylvania State Lodge was established on July 24, 1934, and on August 7, 1934, Berks Lodge #71 was granted its charter from the Grand Lodge.
The Berks Lodge 71 represents over 500 active and retired members of law enforcement, including municipal law enforcement, county law enforcement, University police and members of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
The Lodge works to provide its members with labor services, legal services, educational services and member support.
